Utah Raises Driving Age
In a surprise move, Utah has changed it’s driving age, raising it to 17. Representative Howard Frobisch, who introduced the bill, says “There are just some young people who are not ready to drive at age 16 and we must keep them off the roads. Specifically Haley Lopp and 3 others.”
When asked if the legislation goes too far to keep Haley from driving, Frobisch said “Is there a limit to what a parent will do to protect his children? I submit there is not.”
While we wish Haley a great 16th birthday, we’re sorry that she will have to keep on walking for another year.
